Kitchen by Pickell Architecture

A new kitchen and family room for the back of a classical white stucco house, built in 1905.

The island is honed Calcutta gold marble and the perimeter countertops are Pietre De Cordoso sandstone. Fixture lights by Hudson Valley in brushed nickel. Cabinets are pure white. The walls of kitchen are Benjamin Moore “Edgecomb Grey” and subway tiles are classic white with Silverado grout; marble on island is calcutta gold. ProLine range hood. Faucet: Dornbracht “Tara”. 

Custom-built cabinetry and window bench by Darren Edsall of NJ . The cabinets and trim are pure white/ white white. Wall paint is Benjamin Moore Edgecomb Gray. Bench is about 22″ deep. Cabinet hardware is from Restoration Hardware. Printed pillows are from Restoration Hardware.

The stain they used was Minwax Puritan Pine. The wood is fir, which had a redish cast. 

The backsplash is basic subway tile, with “Silverado” grout to add some contrast and “age”.

France door is an addition to a 1905 classic white house, and the hardware matches.
